She sees him at the station
As she's waiting for her train
Feeling uncomfortable in his presence
But how she'd love to know his name

So many times she has fantasised
Of being enveloped within his arms
In front of a roaring fireplace
So easily surrendering to his charms

But most likely he would have a girlfriend
Anyway she'd never stand a chance
As she peers over her magazine
And steals just one more glance

The stationmaster makes an announcement
That the next train will be delayed
Throwing commuters into chaos
For many appointments won't be made

But to her it makes no difference
For nobody waits for her at home
So many lonely nights she's encountered
Just hoping that someone might phone

So who is this handsome stranger?
Will I have the chance to make him mine?
Then a voice suddenly startles her
"Excuse me, do you have the time?"

Her knees all at once turn to jelly
And she can hardly utter a word
She feels so giddy and flustered
So sure her heartbeat can be heard

The sight of him standing before her
Makes her heart feel so alive
As she finally answers his question
"It's almost five thirty five"

The ice has now been broken
As he smiles and walks away
Her gaze lingers in his direction
There were so many things she wanted to say

(smiles) Awwwwwww, I hope then she rushed over to the man and asked to have a snack with her and they met, growing closer to one another in love! (kiss on cheek) This is a gorgeous vision of true love, sweet friend, it is always so magical how it can accidently come to us anywhere, whenever! We all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Nicely told... so often in real life we let the opportunities pass us by, just as in this poem...

I enjoyed!

I loved this poem!! I used to be shy like that and I missed out on a lot of opportunities, so now I speak up when I see something I like!

Once...when I was quite young, I had just such an experience..where ever I went, she was there...it was love at first sight but I too was shy, how could I dare to think she might be interested in me??? It turned out that she was there because she knew I would be there..we have been married for 26 years now!!!! Wonderful memories you have awakened Sue!!!Beautiful poem!!!!

Sue,  I do love this one....How many times
have I written about love seen,  wanted,
chased and sometimes....finally found...

You have penned this perfectly...NICELY done.
