Twilight Morning

I watched the toast, toast brown today
The butter as it melted away.
Poured the coffee just half a cup
With cream and sugar half a sup.

Took the paper read the headlines
Something about the aquiline
The water level down too low
It was a fact that we should know.

Be aware of our water use
Just use it but without abuse.
Some other articles on crime
But that I read just all the time

I tossed the paper to one side
Went to my lounge where I abide.
I stretched and sat to wile a while
Before I knew I smiled a smile.

For there she was my butterfly
Flapping her wings sighing a sigh.
She took my hand in fantasy
Into a gardens ecstasy

She waits for me both night and day
Each nap I take she’s there to play.
One could say that I’m growing old
To me she is my centerfold.

So more and more I close my eyes
To hereby, nearby, butterflies.

where are those butterflies..I need one about now..

I saw on tv where millions of monarchs have died already  due to the unusual weather changes..they were falling out of the sky.

I read this poem several times ...
I even read between the lines.
You make me sigh and make me smile
make me dream your dreamers wile.

I only have one critique to say ...
If you really want your butterfly to come and play,
you need to get rid of that cup of old cold coffee--
and sip the bree of me in a mug of raspberry tea.

Forget the butter on your toast
Raspberry jam will sate your butterfly host
And lets not forget the raspberry pop tarts
from their nectar ... butterflies never part.

Now you know the breakfast of butterflies....
send me a couple winkiewinkies before you close your wise eyes.

~~~~
sending you raspberry smiles across the miles
and raspberry kisses too, upon the morning mist of dew
OH and I forgot to scold ...
about that line of "growing old"
I'll forgive the moment bold ...
and send Randy a winkie centerfold.
This poem lead me somewhere between dancing fantasy and warm reality.  Which was a very nice place to find myself.  (And the centerfolds weren't bad either!)
you play with grins by sit and spin
a bottle to twist a grin to whisp
I think of two then think of three
for I would join in all this glee
when butterflies are fluttering by
I sit and think of tea and Sy
Seymour - I like this one. To have a cup of coffee and see my butterfly, it's all I need. Excellent write...
