Postscript

A simple glance, truths yet untold
fingertip kisses at arms length in hold
sound of anger, calming of fright
empty of rhymes, just a ghost in the night
iced in a silence, iridescent of pure
a love letter left twixt crack in the door.

"I need you my love, still the pain from within"
feathered in tear stains, "How long it has been.
Each season's forever, till the first when we met
a walk by the ocean, could you never forget
the familiar of touching, heavens that spun
senses that flooded, momenting to one.

You're the spirit of loving, the gift of a prayer
that lingers whenever these eyes see you there
in my mind, holding captive, by the essence of sweet.
Let me hold you once more, let me dance you complete.
There is spring in the coming, a newness to rise.
Let me smile you again, be your morning surprise.

I withhold all I am, gift these words from my heart.
P.S. I'll be waiting, my love to impart."

Alice,

Very good piece of rhyme and meter which flows naturally and doesn't feel awkward or forced.

You are very gifted!

How beautifully this flowed, both the thoughts and the rhythm. It brought a poignant smile to my face, with a memory it made me think of.
