The tears have long ago frozen
And lay shattered in shards of bleeding thoughts
My feelings for you have become petrified in the stone of my heart
The mirrors within have clouded your reflection into obscurity

Pictures have been put aside in dust
Others have been shredded to the winds of time
Along with the music that your words used to carry
That used to hypnotize me back into your arms

In an error I receive the message that you had been hurt
That your vulnerability was not impregnable
My curiosity got the best of me on your new found weakness
So I secretly questioned your latest conquest

Assured the end was not at hand you fade back into the reflections
As a thought followed you of what they had told you
Of the deep hurt buried in the past recollections
Of dusty pictures creating pain in their petrified heart

How do you figure that two who care so much about each other
Have to fade away from each other sight
In order to live in the light of other peoples love
And to acknowledge each other only in the pain of one of them

And will never unite again in the sanity of time
Until the rose will claim the coffin of one
And the word will follow through
I still love you darling take care

Quote: In my imperfections I become more human throughout time and become vulnerable to self doubt. It is only when writing that the security returns in the comfort within me reclaiming its warmth. D.Lester

I write so much that I may seem to be inconsiderate of others; I do apologize for my flaws.

The most profound part of this incredible write is that you express a love that will never die, yet can never live.  I, too, have known a love like this.  He is my favorite memory, favorite mentor and beloved friend...

'nuf said...like the piece and will keep it in the library.
