in the inner stillness
somewhere just out of reach
I felt your footsteps
fall upon my beach

music played the tune
the night sang off key
wind sighed….softly cried
touched the heart of me

memories were stirred
dancing with tomorrow’s history
unable to change the fact
you remain a part of me

echoes whispered back and forth
from heart back out to sea
endlessly repeating
this haunting melody

~SEA~

Circe darling girl Oh my stars this is utterly utterly wonderful really lovely writing, YOU have brought such a smile of remembrance to me face and I do love to smile you know. Not all memories are bad, and the good ones I keep. The bad ones I let fade away like sea foam, insubstantial for they have nothing to keep them alive.

I love the flow of this it’s soooooooo smooth, abide awhile with your butterfly

This is wonderful

YOU are such a wonderful writer

This touched me.. It held many different levels of meaning and I think I would have to read it many more times to feel and savor each and every one. Wonderful.. this one goes to favorites.

Susan, as one who walks the Shores of Alone, I am feelng myself right in the heart of this poem. It is a beautiful thing, when someone's writing can lead you right into the place you love the most.
Thanks for all your kindness recently, too.

Sue, this really touches my heart. I didn't feel the link to the sea as much as the memories that won't fade.
Your words are wonderful as usual. Loved it.
