Listening to every heart

Artificial Thoughts

Barely 5:30 a.m. CST
awaking from the hold of
dreaming you and them
in storied lands of believability

I find a need to
hear an oceanic drift,
so… in illumination of softly
wired sun, a setting about
of planned calm,

the round rainbow of
seaplay is placed tenderly
within a chamber to ricochet
back to me crushing waves
upon waves, fluidly allowing
me to smell in vast recesses
of recall

salt
tang
spray

and shelled carcasses the gulls
left behind

if I close my
eyes, sand wedges
between my toes, cold
still in this early morning reverie,
colder still as foamed waves
lick at my feet, taking
me back to then…

blame it on surround sound
to drift me along
when I was one with a
western shore,
wondering then if some one day
I might capture
for readability
a sound of crashing waves

such that someone landlocked
could hear it through
their eyes…

and I can, if the landlocked
reader would listen to
the wind through
the Indian grasses of summer,

just listen…

and find nothing artificial at
all when I tell you…

the sea sounds…
just like thunder on the
prairie when the wind blows

listen…

and the flute shall play
you, too…

Oh Karilea, this was simply beautiful like you were peeking out my front window, and saying all that I always want to say but never found the words.  That goodness there is a poet who speaks for those of us lost for words.

How KEWL is this!!!... If you can create this magic in your reverie, I'd best not complain of a wintry drydock, eh???...Love it..

(big hugggsssssss) Oh my gosh, for some reason this made me cry too, just thinking about how lovely it would be to see the ocean once more and feel that thought of the tidepulls clapping like the wind across the foothills where I live! (kiss on cheek) This is soooooo beautiful, sweet friend, this is an outstanding vision! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
