BEEP BEEP.
You chased me in my sleep
and now you're in
never neverland,
the cosmos.
I was once called
'looney tunes,'
and I thought
that was a great
complement.
BEEP BEEP.
Goodbye Chuck.
You always
made me
happy.

Hi Kacy
You mean Looney Tunes isn't a great compliment?  I'm in trouble then.  And who in the world is Chuck?

LOL. BEEP BEEP is for Chuck Jones, who was the animator who created Wile E Coyote (my anti-hero) Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig....you get the idea. Chuck Jones passed away yesterday. What a genius he was. A part of my childhood. Come to think of it, part of my so-called adulthood as well.

I hadn't heard that Chuck Jones died...how I remember watching the Saturday morning cartoons [after our beds were made, after we had brushed our hair, our teeth, put our toys away...] and as I grew older, I continued with chores [ironing clothes] while my younger brother and sister watched cartoons and me...being too old to laugh as loudly as they, was grateful that they were watching what had kept me enthralled while "their age"...thank you for sharing, Kacy....

A wonderful tribute to the great person behind so many of my childhood images Kacy. After years of watching that poor coyote falling off cliffs and banging into painted mountains ... I secretly started to cheer him on as the underdog too, lol. Very much enjoyed!

Best wishes and BEEP BEEP,
/Kit

For a minute there I thought Chuck was an ex-boyfriend who drove by and honked...

Yes, such a genius mind as Chuck's will be missed....I love the roadrunner!!

Thank you for bringing back a few memories..
He will be missed...but what he has given us
will remain forever...I too sat before that
screen and laughed so hard at the coyote and
the roadrunner till I had tears in my eyes..

Thank you all for helping to BEEP a goodbye to Chuck Jones. Oh, the stories we could all tell about those Saturday mornings and our  cartoons. I need to borrow someone's four year old to really roll around on the floor again in uncontrollable laughter. BEEP.
