smiling; here I stand
facing the eastern sun
rising in its glory
with a fresh scent
in a capture of the dawn

smiling; there she is
in front of me with
her shadow upon my body
spreading like a drape
drawn to shade - arrested

the colours of her presence
and the mist of the feeling
spread through visions
like sights seen through
a telescope to the sun

and then she bent
in a small forward slant
like daylight falling through curtains-
clarity shone in her eyes
while her lips touched mine

and the breeze spoke,
whispering in our hearts
in those silent thoughts
of sacred devotion
in a prayer of love

the capture of that moment
and our inertiated torment
led its way to a flurry
of acts of sweet repose
leading to a bonding

yet there I stood static
while the wistful flower swayed
as if dancing in the wind
and butterfly, she kissed me
before her vanishing act

and she flew into the heart
of the smiling sun
and I smiled back to acknowledge
the fallacy of the heart
and the mischief of the moment

-----------
and I thought, I should amuse myself... when the rays of the sun plays tricks on my eyes... maybe it was a mirage...
