Doves of karma
overhead
fighting till their
white turned red
feathers floated
as sky bled
The doves of peace
fought to their death.


I cried out from the depths of sleep:
"I pray this is no omen's keep!
If this be a dream of dread,
would that I could dream my own death!"


I forced the vision from my mind
and surfaced from an ocean's dream.
Upon my wake, I let loose scream--
one white feather, left behind.


I scoffed at self: "My pillow leaks."
But shuddered thought's return:
"Could be..."

It's just a feather from your Angel's wing, serenity! Nothing to worry about, you rolled over too quickly and dislodged one.

Nope, after a dream like this I'd be up the rest of the night drinking coffee.  No cup, just put sugar in the pot and drink it from there. LOL!  Good writing, Karen

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Karen, this was such a sad and scary dream indeed, but it was only a dream and I believe that feather was one of an angel, for you are an angel to us all!
