Stolen Moments Each one is like a buried treasure held within the safety of my heart Their value I can never measure for their warmth fills me when we’re apart In the lonely hours I take them out shading them from many eyes that pry Often the feelings I write about are these jewels on which I rely They sparkle with crystal tears of truth as life has set the course we pursue No longer in the first bloom of youth when convention was bidden adieu Stolen moments that still fill my years, with each one lasting me a lifetime Regardless of how it all appears I’ll not forget writing in wild rhyme Karen Torbiak 2002© Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

This winds its way to many avenues of thought...how a parent steals that tenderly quiet moment with a sleeping child, how a person steals a quiet moment to him or herself...how a stolen moment of extra shut-eye can make all the difference in the world... liking this, I am!
