Shaping An Image

Cold and chilly winds upon my frown
The darkness shapes from the unknown
Ahead strange perceptions of hope
My mind begins tracing a distant slope

The tears run down allowing emotions
The heart trembles thundering sounds
Lungs struggling gasping air out of bounds
Each organ a picture of desolation

Speechless standing in a hollow
Hands sweating searching
Nobody to ease the deepening sorrow
As day merges into night frightening

The image is shaped
Marbled in sadness
Motionless

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
(Daniel J D)

*sigh* such powerfully sad emotions flow through these words that my heart hurt for you...I pray things get better soon...**big big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

You have captured sadness so well that I have a familiar lump in my throat. Well done dear poet. Chris

Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away.

Daniel,
you have changed the rhyming scheme from verse to verse and still managed to make the poem work for you. However the last three lines are poignantly sad and particularly well written.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

This has a nightmarish feel for me...I shall put it away for awhile and come back to read in the dark...perhaps that will shed some light...
