Place Of Safe

Angry words always prevail.
Spouting out into the open,
unable to be taken back.
Sharp as knives, they cut deep.
Leaving a stinging wound,
where tears instead of blood.run
I back myself in a dark corner,
wanting to find a place of safe.
Afraid to let my words flow,
unable to speak my mind.
Each thought causing an attack.
I should know better.
I should think.
I shouldn’t be so stupid.
I cringe back as my mind
struggles to recall when
things went so hostile.
When did we go from being
friends… lifelines,
to the apparent enemies that
we have seemingly become today.
I take refuge in my silence
that grows, hoping for
a following peace.

rosepetals25 - you tell these words as they are so very true, which they are. Biting words, stinging into the soul, and they take something away, never to return... Yes, I have felt them...

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Tara, I know these thoughts so very much, for I too have been hurt by words so much in these years and I too know how it makes me cry and how I just want to find a refuge and harbor myself in caring arms of love! (kiss on cheek) may heart goes out to you, sweet friend, we all love you so much, we are always here if you need someone to talk to! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Tara, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

hayden - Thank you.

Bill - Words are a powerful weapon.  Sometimes people don't realize how powerful. Thanks for stopping in.

Floria - I agree. Thank you.

Charisma - Thank you for stopping in I'm glad you liked it.

Noah - Thank you sweet friend.

Barry - No no no.. Dave and I are wonderful. It's the rest of my life that is having trouble, heh.  Thank you for visiting.

coco - I'm happy you enjoyed it.  Unfortunately being silent doesn't work in the situation I'm in, the words come flying if I speak or not.
