Inspired by something Sea sent me today

Play Skater's Waltz

These photos came in email.
A tear welled in my eye.
I felt joy and sadness
at the years passing by.

I looked at it and saw the past,
I was holding up my son,
doing things that he does now,
“firsts” are so much fun.

A parent’s bond is never gone,
Your baby they shall always be.
The day will come he’ll sit back
And feel the same as me.

It warms my heart to watch him,
and see the love of family grow,
but he will always be my child,
And I will always love him so.

Including me in all they do,
they have right from the start,
so it’s not hard to figure out,
just why I hold them in my heart.

~* For two favorites I keep in my heart *~

Live today like it was your last day on earth!
~* I don't know who said it but they were sure right *~

Sharon.. this was so beautiful. Reminded me of my times at the skating rink with my girls which seems like an eternity ago. Enjoy these wonderful moments my friend, they will keep you young and grateful.

Much love,
Kate

SEA can do that...be a muse, that is...look at the two of you go...look at the memories to hold tight...

I hope SEA will continuously wash over us all...she can be salty...but that's okay - 'cause life cannot go on without salt...

Hah laughing at Nan - as my da dums usually are the "worst" and I know it too.     Thanks to you all for looking and sharing.  Sea - see what you started with that email?  You never let go honey never!  Thanks everyone for reading this.  I was watching the skating last night and remembered the pics my son sent on Tuesday, so of course the Gramma in me took over!  Hugs (and Sunshine, Sea washes over everyone in "Seashine".

Glad you enjoyed, and no matter how hold they get, in the back of your mind (or mine anyway he is always sort of my baby), and I am so proud of him.

I can't help it....i have this HUUUUUGE Father-loving, Grandfather-warm
grin that comes from seeing the two cycles merge, sons-of-sons.
couple that with a sigh from reading your warmhearted loving poem, Mysteria,
and it heats my insides like a hot cup of chocolate.

These are the things that matter, Mysteria,
these are the things that endure.

GenXer ~ I want to thank you so much for your very kind words.

CocoBaci ~ You have just about warmed my heart as much as this picture did when I received it, and just when I think I can't write at all someone like you comes along and says just maybe I do make someone happy.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

ShadowRider ~ Your critique message says more than I can say to to you or about you, and it should be part of our world wide creed, but I want to thank you anyway for your heart warming message.

Live today like it was your last day on earth!

Hello Sharon

What a stunning dedication for the love you feel for your son.  This was such a heartfelt piece of writing and the pictures were a beautiful accompanyment.

Take care.....Sue
