The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2002-02-21 11:16 AM

Tonight a chill forms in the air
though moonlight glows unceasingly
for she was left without a care
simply abandoned recklessly.

She walks through graveyards dark and deep
in search of spirits who may guide
She longs for something real to keep
into another realm abide.

The shadows lurk beneath a tree
which weeps in sorrow and despair
She dreams of immortality
The Count awaits within his lair.

He steps out in a swirl of mist
she hesitates but brief moments
for if he does bestow his kiss
she fears the doom it may portent.

She gazes longingly at him
with fantasies of not alone
but placing herself at his whim
threatens to turn her heart to stone.

With subtle glance she says goodbye
she knows she has much more to give
this night she chooses not to die
the moonlight fades, and she will live.

I LOVE a happy ending

kiss not the dark count
kiss instead my offered lips
offering true love

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Gee, Sandra, I'm sure glad you're still alive!

Here would be my ending, Sandra:

And so He smiles and says hello
I know you're scared so let's go slow
You just tell me each step to take
I offer Love, from heaven's cake.

True love is pure; you're always free
Never with fear, no misery
So as you put your trust in Him
He'll tell your heart and soul, when

To accept Love.

Haunting and wonderful!! Chris
