With Arms Open Wide
By: Noah Eaton
2/20/02

Just then I can hear you cry
You ran away, trying to find a place to hide
What's the matter here?
I crouched down on my hands and knees
To hold you close, trying to bring you relief
Everything will be alright, my dear

When you need a shoulder to cry over
You can always trust on me
I pray all the children of the world
Could find a song to sing
Hold onto your guardian angel
All we need is love to survive
The angels are always here to bring you light
With arms open wide

You say you're only a naive fledgling
You dream to be a dove but you haven't found inner-peace
After all this abuse you're left with callowness
It sees it takes a lot of love to notice
To open ourselves to the path of least resistance
I would give you harmony if I had just one wish

When you need a shoulder to cry over
You can always trust on me
I pray all the children of the world
Could find a song to sing
Hold onto your guardian angel
All we need is love to survive
The angels are always here to bring you light
With arms open wide

I just want to paint a smile
Upon your face
I wish for love to come to you
To heal your wounds just to a trace
Have faith that God will light your life
And hold you close with loving care
Breathe rainbows upon your blanch heart
And heal you from all the abuse you have weared

When you need a shoulder to cry over
You can always trust on me
I pray all the children of the world
Could find a song to sing
Hold onto your guardian angel
All we need is love to survive
The angels are always here to bring you light
With arms open wide

You can always cry over His shoulder...
He will always be here
With arms open wide...

WOW!! I can feel the hope ringing behind these words! Child abuse is a serious issue that happens to many children every day and it is soooo very sad. No child should ever have to be subjected to any form of abuse.
sad write but very well done Noah

Noah, such compassion!  You "painted a smile on my face" with this heart touching poem. you are truly a gift to all your friends, and this one touching on an issue that we all despise, great poem. floria
