It was you who made me smile
As you chased the dark clouds away
It was you who stayed with me
On my dark depressing days

It was you who brought me sunshine
And made my spirit soar so high
In your presence I felt invincible
Like I could almost touch the sky

You took my hand and gave me love
A love so pure like the wings of a dove
You opened up my eyes and made me see
How much love existed inside of me

With your words of wisdom you guided me
Away from my sadness and grief
Finally I learnt how to smile again
As I experienced such feelings of relief

Your brought me so much confidence
I once lacked within myself
No longer did I feel like an ornament
That collected dust upon a shelf

You gave my life new meaning
There was nothing I couldn't do
How wonderful they are
These feelings I have for you
