The rough seas are always evident along the shoreline
The erosion of confidence has to be shored up constantly
White caps in frothing confusing raise havoc on any entry
Undercurrents keep the strongest swimmers at bay
Beating them back in almost every attempt to enter the isolated paradise

In a moment of strengths I venture out in momentary stills
To distant lands where outsiders smile of their invitations
But years of doubt in propaganda shuns them into the shadows
Willing to listen with one ear
But the other on call for any excuse to leave

The magnetism of my islands security keeps me struggling back
But unlike normal conventional forces mine get stronger the further I wander
In every increasing needs my incursions widen
To the outer reaches of the tranquility of knowledge
Keeping me struggling in an ever draining need of self survival

In success I look down on my beaches of hope
Looking for a bottle to cork up and down with a sign of hope
That my feeble attempts to break down the walls
Of other manmade islands of concrete barriers
For entry into someone else’s security gate of their own inner isolations

In return I would ride the waves of eternity
If needed for someone to enter the shear beauty of the cliffs along my shore
Making the others from the outside world want to enjoy the view
But the negative advertisements keep the view in clouded mists
But a climb of wills with me will take you above that

So I will leave a bottle for you to throw in the currents of hope
In the hope that its journey can evade the dangers of the unknown
Upon reading it of its special message of invitation
I will give verse to the wildness of my islands pleasures
And we can sit together in a campfire of self respect as the magic unfolds
For the both of us

I write so much that I may seem to be inconsiderate of others; I do apologize for my flaws.

D.Lester Young - I love this write. I'm glad I took the time to read this, as I know that you have put a lot of effort into it... Was near Tuscaloosa for a while. Did some prospecting in the area, and was working in Huntsville.

People like this are a hard find...willing to hang in there and build trust.  Most would bail when the going got tough or are simply superficial.

Glad to see a post from you again...haven't seen one in a while.
