standing on a shadow's lace

Tied Up

what keeps
me alone
when I could
so easily
be loving you
am I too afraid
I may get
something
I wanted
am I afraid
awaiting punishment
from happiness
can I free
myself from
my mistakes
can I free myself
from myself
can I cut
the cord from
the tie that
binds me
and for once
tie it
to another
emotion
