and yet,
as you read me, I am being written
in notebooks never seen
     on napkins long abandoned
          on walls too high
I am being written
in inks old and new
     in leads too heavy
          in blood spilt out
I am being written
by children learning to speak
by adults learning to speak again
by those who wait to speak anew
I am being written
in languages spoken and unheard
     in emotions high and low
          in times now and then
I am being written

and as I am written
a world waits
     but time still moves along
for I have never been written before
and I will never be written again
you think that you have seen me before
but, you have not
for while my form and appearance may be the same
it's what's inside that makes me different
I am a sonnet
     I am a haiku
          I am a lyric
and yes, I am a hundred other names and forms

but yet,
I am me
I am what you see before you now
as I speak to you
     I speak to others
other eyes
     other souls
          other hearts
               other lives
and yet, as before
you each see me as you do
and I know that you are there
and why you have turned to me right now
you look for what I can give you
you seek for what I can provide
and I give to you
     freely and unconditionally
and you hold me close to your heart

I will always be here for you
until I am written again
and, when I am written again
you will read me again

and, like an old friend
I will take you in once more

with love

Overused, weary, worn
From life in one poet's pen
Recyled, newly born
With another voice, they sing again.

I like this very much, Sven. *S*

Sven,

I've just had the fortune of being able
to return to Passions (time has finally
allowed me to) and yours is the first
I've read. And what a pleasure it was!
As always, your writing is nothing short
of beautiful! Lovely to see you and your
work! Take care my friend.
