Near golden sunsets

I fell fast for your sea blue eyes;
I lost myself in the rhythm of their waves.

You wrapped me in your tiny little hand,
Played my heart like a marionette,
Moving across the stage in wooden clumsiness
With the flick of each string-leashed finger.

I've held you in the dark, tracing your curves
as you slept, memorizing every line, every crook.
My hands can draw your ethereal form even now,
Depriving my eyes of your face, until they are closed.

I only wish the smell of your perfume
Didn't raise my head to search for you
When you are not there,
Baiting me with unattainable illusions.

You've left me with little to turn to,
Only haste to fill my idle thoughts
With visions that aren't of you.

There wasn't a moment I didn't regret
The miles that separated our touch.
Hindsight slams hard on broken love,
Blinding me of present and future

My blood is still boiling,
Yours chilled with time.
Cold, so cold,
Blood on the rocks.

I'm still more in love with you than I want to be.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Philip, I know how you feel, I think many can relate to this kind of feeling, and I pray that your love and yearning will bwe replaced with her declaration of love and your heart will forever join hers in true love! (sigh) This is powerful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Philip, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

oh this just aches and makes the reader feel the longing.
deep emotive, impactive writing, excellent imagery and metaphor analogy as well.
Im glad I didnt miss this in these much too fast moving pages.
Well done poet sir.

I dont know what you loved in me ...

She left me in the pouring rain
As the sun beat down from the sky.
She didn't cry as she sang her refrain,
Emptiness filled me with "Goodbye".

Those words, that death, my changing life;
I still find her face among the crowd.
The regret, the scorn, the bitter strife
of pushing against this dark rain cloud.

Endless nights I strive to forget
My love, my life...misunderstood.
Each morning I wake with new regret;
I still love her more than I should.
