Ramble Series.....

~~~~
I'll bring to breezes
From the sea,
In golden strands
So each day you'll
Remember
My smile
Standing there
Along the shore
So many times
Looking back
I must
Be selfish
Wanting all your space
Me only me
Invading your eyes
To stretch my self
Among your smile
I thought it was
Enough to just
Love the rain
And sunsets,
A room of clouds
And windows
To watch
Ships
Touching the night
In silence
You weave the shelter
Of your heart
In colorful threads,
Draped across
My shoulders with your
Finest silk
Laced in lilies
And rose petals
Of velvet veins
Far from the moon
Before midnight
The touch of your
Skin finds me
Wandering in an
Endless trace
Along your body
You fill my eyes
With your world
And undress
Me with your
Grace of orchids
Breathe and satin
Sheets
Promise me
One day
Just the two of us
Will leave footprints
Along the island
With soft smiles
And calm seas
Maybe many years
From now
To tell ourselves
The bridges are still strong
Laying in darkness,
Still warm
With your touch
No longer afraid
Of your leaving
Step through the
barrier of my mind,
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you
into the shadows
of my heart
I feel the dusk, that moment of each day when it must rest and before dreams are allowed to play. The bridge between light and dark, perhaps even questions and answers. At the base of all of this lays the sea, perhaps a harbor, a place of heart.
A lovely view for aching eyes these windows of your world. An inspiring ramble, thank you for the read.
Your rambles are some of your most beautiful work Lauren. This is exquisite hon.
I've always said that you're at your best when you just let the words come. . .
and here it is. . .
