“SOMETHING LOST”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Night comes, darkness falls,
I’m closer, yet feel alone…
I remember when together,
meant passions were shown…
Now something seems missing,
can’t quite put my finger on it…
The excitement perhaps gone,
seems to be leaving, bit by bit…
It does creep up slowly on one,
little by little the flame dies…
If only both could see the change,
then we wouldn’t, have to agonize…
Don’t really know once it starts,
if there’s a way to make it stop…
This something lost inside me,
splashing my heart, like a raindrop…
Very lonely write, my friend.  But with rain showers come beautiful flowers...
Bill, this is a very heartfelt write. I enjoyed although sadly. Chris
In two ways this touches me. Because it's reflecting life....and because it's reflecting this home.
I think once it starts to go this way, it's over. And I wish it were not so, but it seems to be.
Well done, my friend.
Bill hi there again, this is another very well written and descriptive piece of writing. You have written this very well, it is just like that, if you’re not careful bits of you slip away in the night, until all you have left is a ghost of memory.
Bill darling boy this is simply outstanding writing, you have done so well here I don’t know how you do it. Again flawless and perfectly presented. What can I say but this is exceptional. YOU always write brilliantly and today is no exception.
Bits of your soul slipping into the night Yes Krissy I’m stealing your line This is an exceptional poem
Bill,
My heart goes out to you.This could stay awhile, but my hope is with the warmth and sunshine that abounds from within you will dry this rain and bring you a meadow of flowers.
