Within The Silence

Within the silence of my heart
searching for a hidden desire
A thought, a wish, I may impart
and in the future might acquire

Within the silence I hear beats
that will tell me I’m still living
To carry on among defeats
is this human made for giving

Within the silence of my sighs
I reach out with gentle passion
Still there’s silence within my cries
that flow from me with compassion

Within the silence of my mind
mysteries of love I wander
There is a need among mankind
to write about it and ponder

Within the silence of my tears
whispers of inner needs I send
With strength I silence all my fears
letting words, I write, help me mend

Marge...I think poets are blessed because we are so free to express so much that comes from deep within..the passions of our feelings pour through out pens like a healing balm....**big hugs**
