The Venus Touch

The Venus touch is odd indeed
A mystery of our human need
An extra sense that does compel
A factor with the weirdest spell

It shows itself in giddiness.
In awkwardness and weird finesse
It makes us wink and blink and think
Until our faces turn to pink

It twists us into spider’s lace
With weavings showing little grace
And tangles us within a course
That sometimes looks like Spanish moss.

And I admit that ladies vie
And hem and haw and surely sigh.
They flutter like a rapid fan
And fawn upon that graceless man.

And on some residue of true
You fall in the abyss of you.

Upon your thoughts I am borne
to soar into the early morn
With such creative internal rhyme
I think this poem is mighty fine~

You still rock me poet~

This is too true, isn't it. And it affects women and men equally.
