Not Long Apart
By Larry Chadwick

My bed needs only one pillow tonight,
Somehow that just doesn’t seem right.
It makes for less laundry for me to do,
But I would much rather be with you.

It’s just as bad to wake up all alone,
Starting my day with a dark tone.
But then I remember your sweet face,
It puts my perspective back in place.

After all, it’s only a momentary loss,
No real need for a self-pity cross.
It’s just a little time to be apart,
'Cause you’re still here in my heart.

Does that pillow help you overcome your  separation anxiety? Here's an extra hug, to help you make it through the night.

The fact that she is there in your heart is all that really matters.

This one is so tender Larry.  What a lucky lady she is. *s*
