The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2002-02-18 09:04 PM

They met upon shores of alone
and gave eachother then their hearts
for years ago, it was foretold
this time, they nevermore would part.

As waves lapped gently at their feet
and moonbeams drifted overhead
they walked forward, to life anew
while peacefully, their souls were led.

Two unloved lovers brought unto
a resolution momentous
The shores are not so lonely now
they shall allow for nothing less.

The seer had said it would be so
though both had scoffed with their own fright
At last, the time had come to pass
together, walking through the night.

I think we’ve all been on the shores of alone, too frightened to open our hearts. I like the happy ending in your story and hope there’ll be an equally happy ending for your heart.

There is such a peacefulness to your words,
some days I would prefer to be left alone to walk along the shores.

Pretty!!

Sometimes its the short walks that turn out to be the most rememberable.

I would have to agree with Blue,
sometimes the walk is best felt alone.

I hope you find the walk thats best for you,
and most rememberable!

Always!!!

To be united finally in this vast world..seems a miracle. This was so believing and hopeful. I love what you created here.

Sandra~ The last verse breathes with hope,
may you take comfort on your shores and find your peace there.

I love the thought behind this soul dipped walk, and I believe it happens.  Hugs!
