The Beckoning

the light lingers
today
though spring
waits a month to come

dogs bark hello’s
as walkers by
soak in the air
wash away despair
of too cold days
too long nights

cleansing in sun’s
warm washing
still dry
enough
to soothe
and not perspire
or acquire
leathered layer
of crepe-paper skin

I recall
with melancholy
our walks
up the hill
around the bend
back when
your heart was young enough
to love me

how many lifetimes ago
does anyone know?

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

*sigh* Oh gosh...the sadness and yearning in this poem are so powerful...My heart goes out to you for those days that now seem to not be summer any more...**big big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Spring is near and nowhere is is more welcome than up north here!!! I feel the warmth build in the sun each day. cleansing in sun’s
warm washing
still dry
enough
to soothe
and not perspire
or acquire
leathered layer
of crepe-paper skin

it feels marvelous to be touched by the warmth and not worry of being burnt

your heart was young enough
to love me

how many lifetimes ago
does anyone know?

the sun did at one time gift us love in its warmth and a golden hue at its peak, now we fear its summer charms and cover our skin in protective creams

wonderful poem VAS

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Virginia, such sadness fills these words, my heart goes out to your yearning and I pray that spring will come to your heart and be your pleasant suprise! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is sad but beautiful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
