Without expectation
nor divine
intervention
I woke
without a thought of you
and no ache…..in my heart
how strange, when
recognition
was recognized
I felt no refalling
though it passed through my mind
time recalling
strange
was the feeling
of this not missing you
and strange the understanding
I’d made it to,
Someday

I’d made it to,

In a way it is not such a bad place to be,
it sure makes life alot easier.

You write so nice SEA~

Susan,

It is a wonderful feeling isn't it?  I rermember the exact day this happened to me. I was so in love with someone and it just wasn't happening.  One night I saw him.. and, there was nothing. No sadness or longing...  I almost did the conga LOL.

   Thanks for another great poem

Hugs,
Tara

I had a "someday", too...it was such a relief to not be a prisoner to my own emotions.  Beautiful piece...I plan to keep it in my library to remind me where I have been and never hope to go again!

So..fine! You made it to "someday".
Hip, hip hooray for you.
You've finally gotten over all
The trauma you've been through.

Unfortunately I have not
So woe and pity me.
Each morning I awake I find
I still miss my dear Sea.

I get dressed and I go outside..
What's there in front of me?
The gulls are flying overhead
As I stare at the sea.

I go down to the coffee shop.
"Cafe cubano por mi".
The waiter smiles and gives a wink
And then he says, "Si! Si!"

My son took his exams today
In trigonometry.
I asked him how it went. He said,
"I only got a C."

I met a girl last night-asked her
To have a drink with me.
I asked her what she wanted and
She calmly said "CC".

Each time something stops working
And I need a battery.
Forget the D's or double A's
I always need a C!!!!

My best friend's wife gave birth today
And smooth it didn't go
So guess what doctors had to do..
A C-section, don't you know?

So I don't have a chance in hell
Cause everything I do
Has some way of reminding me
How I am missing you.

So when I get involved again
Forget the Bea's and Dee's
And I can fully guarantee
I'll never date a SEA!!!!

I loved this!!!  I have had occasion to be on the receiving end of such redemption... to no longer to miss someone.  Very well written.

Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow.
But above all... be kind to yourself today.

Hi SEA, long time no chat. I LOVE this one. I'm feeling it right now. Hmm...but I don't know whether this feeling is good or not. It's better to love than not love at all. Isn't there is such similar phrase about that? Write me. halkyon@hotmail.com
