Come live with me and be my Love
and we will in new measures prove
that foul'd air and sullied wells
await those freed from prison cells

In Love's embrace we'll be so snug
if urine trace is free of drugs
nomad lives whose ranks are swellin'
unemployable as felons

As immigrants we'll pilfer fields
assail the bounty dumpsters yield,
we'll sing and dance in acid rain,
get stopped and searched like folks on planes

We'll enjoy the stars of heaven
our ceiling twenty-four/seven,
sweet music of the cackling crow
who watch their diet down below

Our wealth in silver hair is doled,
we'll needeth not ol' Bill Gates gold
and if these treasures may thee move
then come with me and be my Love

The fears that every Winter brings,
the tears of joy we lived till Spring
and if these pleasures may thee move
then come with me and be my Love

I love satire---smiling--I found this wry and clever and a bit sardonic--so? I enjoyed this very much! Serious thoughts and the biting analogy to the obviously famous gave me a thoughtful chuckle...well done!

I've never seen dumpster diving and enforced nomadic existence put into a romantic light before. Richard, you are indeed a romantic visionary. Bill who?

For some reason...this reminded me of The Fisher King. So glad to see you here. Your words were missed.

Sincerely,
Regina
