we were whispers
behind the trees
speaking of dream colors
and lover dance music
we touched finger ends with oneness

I knew your eyes
for the first time
when you brought them
in bowls of discover
as gifts to place on my lap

you spoke to my hands
as they wore your scent
you were damp earth
they were tree fingers
growing inside your water

we spoke of mornings
and tall grass beds
where weavers made us
into carpets of magic
and winds gave us sky

our souls went walking
to somewhere place
we watched them go
and prayed for their pleasure
we blessed them

as though we were gods
