Suddenly it's two months gone
No beans and beer - I've stayed strong
But time dragged out - it sang no song
So I ate that, for which I long

And so I slipped a bit you see
The beans and beer came back to me
I remembered history
But beans and beer would set me free

Those beans and beer were my food
The essence of my shouldn't/ should
And my oh my, they were good
As once again I cleared dead wood

Just once more it would not harm
Beans and beer in all their charm
Elevate my sense of calm
Till I set off the smoke alarm

Water damage through the house
I slink away just like a mouse
And I'm feeling like a louse
Yet those beans and beer were grouse

My friends came to repair the room
Filled with tales of doom and gloom
Those beans and beer have caused my doom
Next time I'll just shoot the moon.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Keth - You are truly a rhyming machine.  Thanks for the laugh.

I must say though, I thought this site smelled a little funny this morning.  I should of known that it was from you and all those darn beans that you eat.   I raise a Fosters in honor of this poem.

Yes, this is very funny.  I never tried beans with beer.  I think I'll take your word for it.

Keth, you would be fun on a date...at least we would have the dance floor (and quite possibly the entire building) to ourselves!

LOL. And then LOL again and again. Keth, you are so funny! What do you do at a chili cookoff??? You don't have to answer that in poetic form. You are a blast! Literally.

strbbux,
Thanks - I won't shoot the moon at least not this month. I seem to have got my need for beans and beer completely out of my system.

GenXer,
you are a gas! thanks

Magnus,
one without the other is like bread with no butter. Thank you

Wanda,
thanks don't laugh too hard - you know what that leads to.

BluesSerenade,
Well I try - some people say I am very trying.

mirror man,
an honest relfection on my write  - just what I was hoping for. Thanks

Dark Angel,
now would I do that to you! Hmmmm.

Noah,
it's nice that you still love me after this purge. Thanks

Larry,
lol - it's you, after all it couldn't be me could it?

MagicMystery
I am so pleased my vent coloured your air.

Deer, Don't tempt me - the thought of having a whole building to run amok in thrills me to the bone - just think whet we could do with the elevator shafts? - echoes of bliss

MidniteSun,
I've given up my beans and beer
for chilli cookout's drawing near
don't want to pevert my soul
but chilli cookouts make me whole
first the tang and then the burn
takes the skin  from stomach's turn
flames of fire within my breath
stomach feels a little death
belching roaring blowing smoke
chilli cookouts are no joke
although I like the stomach's sear
guess I go back to beans and beer.

Tracey,
I always do, do whatever I like Thanks

Kethry
