there's a forest in a valley
with leaves of emrald green
a perfect place to get away
made of pictures never seen
and in this emrald forest
lives a man with good intentions
inside this heaven on earth
dwells a man with no dimensions
he can't be seen or heard
at least by a mortal mind
but his presence is felt
by those he lets to find
his touch is electric
coursing through the soul
transporting dreams and thoughts
to reality by a tiny hole
it's not his fault
those dreams are twisted
mind reading isn't his to control
like a phone that's been unlisted
trapped inside his emrald house
all alone within his life
burdened by the memory
of his long forgotten wife
held by a forest
still refusing to die
spending years and lifetimes
waiting for a chance to cry
unable to release
yet willing to let go
mired in a bog so dense
how is he to know
the dreams he steals keeps her here
for all the world to see
it's like a circus or freak show
a modern day sleeping beauty
from the twilight of his nightmares
he'll one day find the cure
to the curse of the emerald forest
and why it's been unpure
