You are the green emerald
in white golden settings.

The deep blue shades of sapphire
the contrasting colors in my opal ring.

You are the link holding me together
the polish that makes me shine.

You are the tear drop diamond in the rough
clasped around my neck.

You are the rare jewel that I treasure
the shimmering sparkle on my sea~

Thank you Larry and Sunshine~
I've had this song in my head
all weekend that has nothing to do
with jewelry~

'Come back, come back, come to Jamaica,
dontcha know I've made a big mistaica'
I don't like admitting it but haven't
we all been there a time or two...or three?

Oh mercy me!!

A real gem of a poem, Lori

You are the tear drop diamond in the rough
clasped around my neck.

So very lovely!

Victoria~ Yes, the opal stone is a rainbow
of colors that makes it  hard to resist.
Thank you for your hugs~

Nancy~ And may I just say,
thank you for loving it.
Huggers~

BC~ My thoughts are many,  and ones
that I shuffle far too often.  Thank you Sir.

Jeff~ I couldn't and wouldn't put a price
on the way I feel, although it's cost me a few times.
Nice to hear from you and thanks.

Noah~ It is a keepsake indeed,
like a hidden treasure that brings out
the best part of me.
I so appreciate your kindness.

Larry~ Another verse in that song for ya
'I've got a big suspicion 'bout ammunition
and I remember to always duck'
Can't be too careful these days you know.
Ok ok, I'll spare you.

Floria~ Thank you for understanding my metaphor.
It's always nice to see your name here.

Madame C~  I don't want the perfect or the biggest diamond
heck, I'm not wanting a diamond at all!
(not to say I would turn it down)
I just want to sparkle and shine in the right light.
Thank you so much for reading Lyra~

This is a really pretty gem Lori. I am a Topaz. I'm wondering what my poem should be like.

Topaz is November right?
Like the golden yellows that filter
through the rays of sun.
That is a pretty stone, how did I miss that?
Thanks for reading!

Martie~     Thanks for coming by,
I appreciate it!
