Does It Really Matter?

It does not matter what colour I am
It does not matter that I am a man
It does not matter if I were rich or poor
All this does not matter, that’s for sure

It only matters that I’m kind
Helping the troubled to unwind
It only matters that I love
Helping healing the wings of a Dove
It only matters that I give
Helping unfortunate ones to live

It does not matter what I believe
It does not matter what I perceive
It does not matter who I am
All it matters how I am to them

It only matters that I hand out peace
Helping filling hearts with ease
It only matters that I share
Helping to understand those who do not dare
It only matters that I am
To be the best way that I can

For you I wrote this piece
To fill your heart with ease
For you I hold the candle near
To fill your soul with love my dear

As the only thing that matters to me
That I in my life I get a chance to know thee
And all that matters, is that I am
To you the best way that I can

You know now that I’m true
Even if I never have met you
You read me here for that, I’m glad
Knowing this, I can’t be sad

All I know our lives would be better
Therefore, How I Do Does Really Matter!

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Helmut

"It does not matter what I believe
It does not matter what I perceive
It does not matter who I am
All it matters how I am to them"

These things DO matter, my friend, for without your belief and the way you perceive, the things you hope to give would not be.

good to see you!

Helmut it does matter...you are such a kind and giving person.  This I found to be the most peaceful read for me today.  I needed this poem Helmut...thank you for sharing it with us here in Passions.

Thank you for your replies
I really appreciate your words
Martie you are right, without those few important things I would not be what I am today. But they should be there naturally, because we are born with them, all others are learned.
Enchantress, glad you like it. Still looking at your peotry in awe
Victoria
Thank you that you took the time to take a look and for your kind words.

What matters is that your words DO make a difference, Herr Helmut...

So many things matter... some should, some shouldn't. *S* Anyone who lives these lines matters... for all the right reasons. *S* This is excellent, Helmut!

If there were more people in the world like you, we wouldn't have so many problems!

Enjoyed this!

First I will reply "Thank you" so I don't repeat myself.

passing shadows
I am glad it made you smile
even when you're were just passing by
Shadows are most of what remains
When the essentials had thier gains
So I remember you within my heart
Keep up the poetry of art

Nan
You seems to know me so well
Perhaps you put me under your spell
I try to make a difference here
And hope my English in German doesn't interfere
German yes that's what I am
But now I'm more Kanadian

Interloper
Sehr gut dass muss ich sagen
For your words I thank thee well
The words I read where written GUT

suthern
Suthern, nice to see you
Missed you a lot too
I hope that I can and will live up to what I wrote
And I try I promisse, with this I end this note

Tiersdin
I would be happy if this could be true
somehow I feel you are as I the same way too
So more we say and also do
So more will follow and this is true

Thanks again to all of you
It was soooo nice to see you here.

Your's Hugs Love and Peace
