Life’s Tapestry

Lives are woven with truthful thread
showing each pathway that we’ve tread
All threads add to the finale scene
including parts which go unseen

Weaving makes the picture perfect
true knowledge of us, the subject
Each way we turn a stitch is made
of patterns that will never fade

Rainbows of color reflect our life
revealing love, joy, pain and strife
As each of us a path we tread
we chose the color of the thread

Such choices in our lives abound,
with precision they are wound
Life’s Tapestry is woven fine
to be part of the grand design

Karen...this is awesome...it weaves into it
all of the parts of our lives.....all of
the pieces that make up a huge tapestry...
The weaving being so complex...just as each
moment of our life is...

Jen...I love bright colors and it seems nothing in my life is ever pastels...*grin* oh well...at least the tapestry I weave will shout the paths of my life clearly...*giggling* amazing how your comment set me thinking..

Magnus...Ah, yes...you have captured the vision of this poem...each of us weaves our own tapestry by all the different choices we make...**big hugs**

Duncan....mmmm no beginning...in my life it is the middle...*grin* mmmm a beginning would have lots of turquoise in it for me...**big hugs** I am glad you enjoyed it...

Karen; I loved this poem.  I hope to weave my life into what will be pleasing to the King of Kings too.  After all that is the ONE to please.  Beautifully written.  Wanda

You stitched this one up beautifully, Karen with artistry and precision.
I loved your wisdom here.

I wrote a poem called "Tapestry", some time ago.  I'll try to find it and post it.  Its a bit different than this one.
Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful and I glad I am part of the tapestry, very nice

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Oh Karen dear, this meant so much to me, I do a lot of embroidery and putting all those colored threads together to form a beautiful picture is pure joy, and your poem here comparing it to life is simply wonderful. floria

Karen - So very nice.  Now I know why Lyra posted her Tapestry poem and dedicated to you.  You two should weave your fine tapestry poems together.

It's safe to say that this is your best!
As well as love, you also write wisdom well
