Star of Loveliness "I will also give him the morning star" NIV Revelations 2:28 Star light in the night guiding my fair flight I love to hone in on you, so clear, true My dream is to be in your beam, in you I pray to be your ray, glowing, your hue. And as I look from afar at where you are My soul flies away into purity I quickly release, leave earth's gravity And ride your brightness into thee, so free. Heavenly star, far, take me where you are Into your soul I need to go, flow, slow Vaporize me in your sea of gas, tease Burn my rot, hot, as we fuse 'til I'm not. Make me a part of your heart, a star start Give me new birth; cleanse my dearth, from this earth In the sky, you and I, as we fly, high Shining light, giving sight in the dark night. Helping sailors find their way, like bright day And calling lovers into starlight play O, my beautiful Star of Loveliness.
