In love with poetry.

"Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart." NIV Proverbs 3:3

I love to write my pretty poetry
And when I write I just begin to see
Who I really am,. And Gee! I like me.
And I just love to read my poetry.

And so I'm learning to find some new ways
To write and sing these words I learn of phrase
And it's a joy of sweet great elation
As I search around for punctuation.

I learn new words and sometimes ways to rhyme
Or write free verse to thee of love sublime
Getting better by each letter for me
As I read and read our poetry.

And then I post for everyone to see
The stuff that's really, really, really me
And then I read a lot of yours to see
How God helped you to write your poetry.

And then I sweetly fall in love with you
And hope that you will someday love me too
As we cherish each other's poetry
The really us in sweet, sweet ecstasy.

In love with poetry.

Newell darling boy this is outstanding writing you have written real wonder and beauty here

I really and truly love this it’s soooooooooooo very very good. The flow and the rhythm is utterly excellent.

Newell my love feel the touch of me
As I fill you with sweet poetry
I feel your words flowing through
They send my soul right to you
As your words surge through me
We are linked together in unity
HIS words of grace that you recite
Will hold me in the dark of night

I love the picture too mmmm grin

Marsha, darling woman, you always say just the right words to lift my soul into the heavens. And you know how much I love you. And when you write your poetry for me, I vaporize into a cloud and rise high in the heavens. Want to fly up later and make a big thunderstom. We sure could use some rain in Florida.

Yes Newell, we are all so in love with poetry, and yours is beautiful. It is captivating isn't it? Sometimes I even think in rhyme and my husband says I write the grocery list in rhyme..LOL...floria

Its great to finally see what you look like, Newell.  You do look a tiny bit like King Solomon, except he was wearing a crown on his head.
I really enjoyed this one and I am also in love with poetry.  I think you represented everyone at Passions with this poem.
But I do wonder, how we would have been able to do all of this if it weren't for the computer.
I wonder how Byron and Keats managed without one?

There is a sense of joy of writing,
Whether sorrow or delighting,
A sense you get in the expressions
A release of your emotions.

Enjoy your works,
And I already knew you were another of us old guys
I saw your web site.

Hello floria! Yep, I'm afraid I dance about like a jitterbug fanatic,  singing poetry with about every breath I breathe.

Isn't it wonderful?

But poetry IS the Language of God. No wonder it is soooooooo sweeeeeeeet.

Hi Lyra!

Thanks for you wonderful thoughts. O the crown, well I just kind of removed it for the picture. Didn't want to show too much authority. Might hurt my childish image.

I am  so in love with poetry. And yours is growing more beautiful every day. It is great, isn't it, to be able to write, and put it somewhere that someone will read it, and often times, even like it. What a blessing this place is.
