Flashback freeze frame
life paused in historic scrawl
instant remember
heart recall

Rain falls softly
in between each drop fall
your whispers are heard
in rewind playback stall

The music of yesterday
holds me in silent enthrall
recollecting each detail
no matter how small

Reminiscing prisoner
through day’s dawning till nightfall
loving you…..still loving you
awaiting yet, emotion’s pall

Susan - It is amazing how long we can hold onto lost love.  This is one I definitely can relate to.  Well done.

sad but peaceful somehow. Sort of like a gray rainy day! Well done, you created the mood for your words to live in!

I enjoyed the read, but reliving those flashbacks isn't always enjoyable for the person in the picture.
