A year ago I discovered writing
Up until then I'd never written a thing
I had unearthed a hidden treasure
So much joy did my writing bring

I would bare my soul to strangers
Upon these pages of powder blue
Passions became my second home
With many hearts so warm and true

Many people from far away places
Had suddenly become friends of mine
And whenever I'd visit these pages
How their magical words would shine

So very welcome do I feel
In this home so cosy and warm
So many talented people live here
As they seek shelter from the storm

Never once have I felt awkward
About exposing my feelings to you
You have seen inside my heart so often
Seeing the heartache and pain I've been through

You've been able to see a side of me
That I didn't even know was there
You've comforted and inspired me
With lovely words that show you care

So very gracious in your comments
And with your friendship ever true
How grateful I've been for your guidance
So very fortunate was I to find you

So if ever I'm feeling lonely
There's one place you are sure to find me
I'll be within these four blue walls
Immersed in pages of wonderful poetry

Suetang

Sue, this was a darling snippet of gratitude; you made so clear what the value
of good friends, a relaxed time, inspiration...et al  are to a person.
I think with this type of subject it would be easy to be ingratiating, but
you chose to write with great aplomb, and a sincerity that is so very
obvious that the reader has but no choice to feel the same way!

and that's a verrrrry good thing, Sue.

my best to you,
this fine evening,

Absolutley the best Pip tribute I have read.
The sincerity was awesome.  The feel was that of total love, and total loyalty.  What a fabulous job Sue.  Your friend, Roger

I don't even want to count the many tributes my muse has told me to share with Passions in ways of thanks for all that is here. The friendships I have made via these blue pages have been some of the best I have known in my 50 years of walking...

Your anniversary is coming up! I cannot wait to see what you will do in tribute to your one year here...

Dearest Sue! We embrace you because you are beautiful. Whether you began to write 20 years ago or last week. Your heart glows and anyone that feels will see it. I wish I had more time to dwell here and experience your uplifting spirit. It does a person well to read you. I hope you always write, always share, and always stay just a verse away. It is an honor to share in mutual tribute. (However this is most exceptional beyond words).. You are poetry.

Much Love and happiness sent your way.

Sincerely,
Regina

Sue:  Thank you for sending me this link to your lovely poem!  I don't get to 19 very often and I wouldn't have wanted to miss this tribute.  Your wonderful poetry helps to make this site what it is, along with the many other fine poets!

I remember reading your very first poem and encouraged you to keep writing, and I am sitting here not in disbelief, but it total awe at the workmanship and quality of this tribute, which is by the way, the best I have ever seen as this one includes the human emotional connection to this place.  It is the sincere comments and also poetry like yours Sue, (throught the pain of loosing your Dad to the beauty of your gardens) that makes this the place what it is, a community of great people with one thing in common - poetry ~ and you honored them, Ron, the moderators, and yourself beautifully.  Sorry I am so late, catching up! Hugs my friend, and I am sure proud of you for this poem you did.

Live today like it was your last day on earth!
