The Shores of Alone

The poets touch is passion born
a drift of words upon the heart
encased in romance, love or need
a tangled web of time apart.

A poet dreams the lovers dream
and holds the words of others dear
while coloring the dusty world
with ruby crystal tinted tears.

The poet touches everything
with eyes that see things differently
and reaches out to hold a hand
when life reneges on fantasy.

A poet loves with artist's brush
while painting melodies of gold
and making memories each night
of life enriched, to have and hold.

Cat,
while painting melodies of gold
A poet paints your very soul.
Well done.

poet in truth do see
but more than that
they suffer
because poetry comes from experiance
and alas
pain is more frequent than joy

To see things with the soul is a true gift, and to be able to write what your soul sees is an even greater gift. Very well done.
