A deep hot dark black hole "Better is open rebuke than hidden love." NIV Proverbs 27:5 I have these deep strange feelings, a burning fire in me A little something's burning, a glow to find love, free. There's no reason that I know; my heart should ever change I have ev'rything I need; why should I feel so strange? But lightning struck, I'm shaking; it pierced my soul so deep And now that I am waking; I cannot think or sleep. God! What you have done to me? I was so satisfied Now my heart and soul burn deep, for love I cannot hide. All I know says I should run, away from love's strong urge For I'm in love with someone not free to meet my surge. Cannot leave; cannot stay; I'm torn in all directions Trapped between night and day; please let me find correction. Let me return to happiness and joy just like before Remove this longing from me, God, help me crave no more. For hidden love is cruel, disease that kills the soul Or is my sentence, hell on earth? Newell, I am just taking a little respite here, we have had another death in our family and I have not been posting or replying,I do not feel ready to go through this all again, but I am reading all the poetry, as it brings me peace to read all of the poems that my friends write on this site. I was moved to reply to this. It is your best. Because it comes from deep inside your soul. Whoever she is, I hope it works out or that you find peace. This is a truly remarkable write. Floria, I wrote this when I found my lost sister, 21 years younger than me. I fell madly in love with her in every conceivable way that God made. And for a short time we did test many boundaries. Although, out of respect for her I protected her, with intense pain. We now (at least she now) live much more normal dull boring lives. LOL... Although I'm still madly in love with her. Newell darling boy OH my oh my this is soooooooooo full of feeling. I can hear the ache and the longing. YOU have as always written this wonderfully. Love that has to hide itself away Can never be right for every day If love can’t call out its name Then it becomes a little insane Love must live open and live free It can’t hide inside its boundary Come with me to touch the sun Then you’ll know love has begun Truly outstanding writing and I love it love it love it.
