Walk with Me

Walk with me in days of joy
when my heart is light
and nothing can annoy

Walk with me when I am sad
when tears fall down
and all seems bad

Walk with me when I hurt
when pain is severe
and to a child I revert

Walk with me when I need
the companionship of a friend
who will listen and accede

Walk with me always
in every circumstance
down through life’s hallways

Be my friend, be my mate
be there for me
at each crisis gate
