Timing

We could have met no sooner
the timing wasn't right
later, would have been all wrong
we learned that in hindsight

what brought us both together
in that small window of time
will always be a mystery
perfection, so sublime

fate has now revealed her hand
she shook the hourglass
and emptied the sand
and scattered the grains for us to find

your life and mine
like parallel lines
emerging than merging
at just the right time

I never before believed in fate
but her timing was perfect
not too soon, nor too late

love at first sight
the passions we find
earthly delights
of body and mind

on that rainy day in June
as in the woods, we shared our first kiss
fate played a symphonic tune
leading us now to moments of bliss

and moments of love
and moments of lust
moments of truth
and moments of trust

two lives joining together as one
in darkest of night
and brightest of sun
in moments of pain
and laughter and fun

for richer or poorer
in sickness and health
our love for each other
provides the wealth

Madame Chipmunk I like your view!!!

You are absolutely right,
everything is clearer in hindsight.
If I had married ealier
the sun would not have as brightly shone.
and I would not have known a son named Sean.

And now we three do frolic
Beneath the sky so blue
Time turned again a friendly face
As reunion showered us with love so true.

Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow.
But above all... be kind to yourself today.

Lyra - Your love makes you the one of the wealthiest people in the world.  This is so well composed and so very nice.  It sounds like you definitely had a Happy Valetines Day.

Victoria...thanks so much...and you are right. This is the very best kind of wealth to have.  I wouldn't trade it for all of the money in the world.

Newell...thanks so much for that lovely compliment.

Magic...thanks so much for the lovely poem...and I am very happy that things are working out so well for you also.

Marsha...you are always so lavish with your praise...and I always soak it up like a sponge....thank you!

Dave...thanks so much, and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day...David got me 11 roses.  He thought he had bought a dozen, but someone must have counted wrong.  It didn't matter to me, it was the beautiful thought that really counted.

Thank you all for your replies.  I may not have all the money in the world, but I feel like the wealthiest woman on Earth.
