The Shores of Alone

A man of magic and of love
a maiden faire he called his own
through circumstance misunderstood
they left eachother all alone.

Three times he had to make it right
but she did not believe his love
he offered gifts, diamonds and pearls
but of his heart, did not speak of.

And she, in need of heartfelt words
turned him away, though she did cry
His anger rose and made him curse
they would not meet again to try

Until three times one hundred years
and three more sets of lovers true
would give eachother all their hearts
as he had been unable to.

The Lady Gwen, she lived and died
and still she loved her fairy King
She waited, haunting patiently
for just the day, her love to bring.

And Carrick, he was waiting too
though with less patience, he would see
and try to bind all lovers close
so with his lady he could be.

Regrets had lived within him long
because his temper caused the rift
his curse was full responsible
for their sharp turn from loves true gift.

Then one fine day, it came to pass
that all six lovers found their hearts
and released him to Lady Gwen
together..nevermore apart.

Lovely story, I didn't understand about the six hearts though.

The six hearts are the three pairs of lovers who had to unite before the hero and heroine could be together.
