In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-02-14 11:05 AM

Of 2000 words, of 2000 thousand rambles
I have been both humbled and blessed
To write and receive the complete
Peace I feel when doing so
I have complied 2000 words
In fragments of time and music
~~~~~
How do I dance before I walk?
Wait for me beside the sea
Or in fields of orchids with
Soft petals to caress my lips
Watch the moon fade in silent harbors
Of this weary soul
In quiet times
A butterfly pressed to glass
Your still water drew me in
I think of your softness,
Now droplets of ancient time
Still, in silence our foot prints
Sketch the shadows
In dust and sand
Where elements
Of life
Haunt the moon
In Whispers of reflection,
In vibrant colors,
In painted clouds
In fall leaves dancing
On roaring winds
In clock towers
That chime daily faces,
In fragments of music strummed gently,
Unreachable to my fingers yet,
Touching the silent water
In early dusk
Consuming the brilliance
Of sunsets golden streams and lavender hue
When life was innocent
And I call to you
Come back, and listen
Return to time
Still
Move closer
Touch the water
Remember
I have loved you beyond time
Stir it slowly
You are part of it
You live within my embrace
Though
You left time
Fractured in a silver
Streak that kisses
The mist of meadows
And whispers softly
Upon flesh
Once, only once
In a life time you feel
This way, did any one
Remind you, what you
Love, is beautiful?
I stood next to you,
And could hear songs
From a haunted past
Reveal pictures of light,
Spiral blue in contrast, yet
Across the raven land
Butterflies dance the night as one
As heaven welcomes the stars
I still find you in the
Black sky
I am the tiny dancer
Upon the waves
The orchid kiss of
Your lips
The tremble of your heart
I taste your tears raining
Down in voice
Of many waters
I drink you in softly
I bare myself
To your touch
Laying naked among
My dreams in a Xanadu
Of time to
The gentle slide
Beneath your skin
So I am
The snowflake
Falling endlessly
In fragments of time
Step through the
barrier of my mind,
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you
into the shadows
of my heart
Lauren, the memories of your Love flow magically through these words. I hope you can wrap yourself tightly in these tender thoughts today, and they will keep you safe and warm. The depth of your love vibrates in every line. Soft and gentle hugs to you.
(And thank you for the AM greeting card of soft velvety rose petals. It sweetened my morning.) XO,Kacy
Lauren,
I think you just out did yourself here.  This has more lovely imagery than any of your poems I've ever read.  I'm keeping it. Congratulations on your 2000th post and Happy Valentines Day to you, dear friend. *hugs*
Greeneyes - I have no words to describe my feelings about this writing. I apologize for this, but it touched me deeply, and no words I can say would do this write the justice it deserves... I just love it....
Congratulations on 2000 posts, Lauren...Now you have to make a wish and blow out the candles.  There should have been 2000 of them on the cake, but I don't know how to do that.
I really loved this beautiful and delicate poem.
   CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 2000th POST!!
Lauren, this is by far, one of, if not the most exquisite pieces of writing I have seen here in Passions!  THIS is breathtaking, and I feel as though I want to take a few moments to compose myself after devouring this work of art!
Have a Happy Valentine's Day, Lauren!
I am back and will be back many times...
for this will need to be inhaled and exhaled many times....
yes....I recognize the "fragments" ...
how could I not...each one was etched across my heart, engraved upon my soul.
so many times as I read...I heard the echos...leaned in to hear the whispers...felt the wings brush my cheek.
Now here, all together in one tapestry, woven with the devotion of time and threads of promise...
thank you for the many replies to my work that make up some of this number...most of all thank you for the healing peace found in your words.
Some find subtlety in strangers,
some find subtlety in alone.
Your eyes, you see everything,
my eyes, I see it all together now ... and I know.
