Would someone please go back in time and have a chat with my 17 year old self?

Topics for discussion:

- Finish school and go directly to college
- Finish college!
- Buy as many houses as you can during the dot-com crash and set them up as rentals.
- Sell all the houses you bought in the dot-com crash in 2005.
- Don't get involved with *** (name excluded to protect the not-so-innocent), it won't end well.

Is it Friday yet?

Well I tried. But your 17 year old self said "What? Why would I want to do that?" and skipped off to the Navy....

OH WOW.

Maybe you'd like to talk to your 17 year old self, um..yourself?

Seriously, my son's having a tough time with his Physics course, and I need to find him some help FAST. (Scholarship is on the line. )

You might not have the time, C., but can you recommend any help for him? (But I'd buy tickets to watch the two of you argue--and oh, heh, he might take me up on the law school track idea too--I swear that kid will NOT let an argument go.)

Who SAYS there's nothing to astrology, eh?

C'mon

I remember the "barely over 17 you."

Knowing him I don't think the "17 year old you" would be that much more inclined to listen.

Hold on to those thoughts, Chris. Before you know it, you'll have a 17 year old to pass them along to.

(if he's a chip off the old block, I doubt he'll listen, either )

I would be more than happy to talk to him, k, but I think Mike and Mike are right - he'd likely do what Sharon said my 17-year old self did to her!

Well, I told you, but you wouldn't take your IPOD out of your ears long enough to listen.  You barely glanced my way .. so I pointed out the zit on your chin and wandered out ...

LOL - When I was 17, it was still audio tapes... we didn't have CD's yet.

but Christopherson...you haven't yet lived until you've heard 78's, 45's, etc.;

we're currently reliving history in this house, and it is amazing what we are finding, and then to watch on TV that morse code is FASTER than TEXTing....

sometimes our visions need to revisit the past, Son.

Sometimes...we go too fast...
and don't even get as far as we should...

be Wise, m'son.

Slow down.

Play with your child.

And listen to that inner voice that is just now starting to make noise.

Back in the day there was no internet to look up lyrics.  So if the album/cassette didn't have the lyrics you put on the cassette and hit play, stop, write down what you heard, play, stop...repeat.  If it was an album...even harder.

I had a "stereo" with disco lights on the bottom.

And my 17 yr old self was in bootcamp.. it's called escape from the zoo. (I don't expect anyone to get that).
