Okay....um, WHEN?

Smiling here tho. I'm homeschooling my daughter this year, and I'm looking forward to utilizing this forum with her.

It's a great idea, and considering how many late nights I've spent on IM with LP & others discussing poems, I'm frankly surprised that no one (er..even me) hasn't thought of it before.

I am indeed looking forward to it, (although my daughter said she'll just read, thank you)

Great idea(s)!

Let us make tryst.

How about tomorrow?

Or if this is monthly, the first of September may be the best place to start.

But all subsists by elemental strife;
And passions are the elements of life.

Let's just start tomorrow with "Alone."  I'd rather it be introduced with a bit of background information on the poem, just to get us started, so I was thinking Michael might be willing to set up the initial thread...

If not, then I'll do a bit of basic research on Poe and post a bit of information on that poem just for starters, then we'll see where it takes us.

This is all so exciting.  When my granddaughter joined Prairie Inkwells, I thought, "now is the time to get her, as well as the adults, interested in reading behind the lines, and study the poets who brought us to where we are today."

We've been doing just that for the last couple of months.  It's been a lot of fun, looking up their histories, studying their backgrounds, and seeing their poems in a whole new light.  [You know the saying, "they pull their pants on one leg at a time."

I'm looking forward to what everyone has to share and say.
