Every now and then I like to bring up the "duet club" idea again, because I'm always thrilled with the fruits of our common labours and I'd love to see some more action involving spontaneous duets between people who may or may not know each other very well! In fact, the last time we had this, I made a new and valuable friend---and it had a very positive impact on me personally. I'm sure a lot of other people had fun with it, too... So what do you all say? ....Please? |

Tell a FEW of your senior member friends to come on over and sign up and I'll choose them. I'll do it fairly - names on pieces of paper and chosen at random. Ok. Deadline to sign up is Sunday night. I'll have the list of duet partners on Monday and you'll have until next Friday night to post! How's that? |

i just put in a request for a duet in poetry challenge forum... and there have been some kind folks who said "yes"... but i would still like to join here as well... i find this sort of thing exciting |

I'm glad you had a positive experience, but though I too got to know and like a new person, I paid a harsh price for my participation, and I won't let myself in for it again. I had a great time with this too--I made great friends both times I "played"--but unfortunately I'm not too reliable these days, as I'm never too sure what I'm doing from one day to the next. But I'll be looking for the results. And btw, had I not been paired with Local Parasite the first time out, I'm sure I would have been too intimidated to ask to write with him--which would have been a shame for me. He's much fun and very smart--so congratulations in advance for anyone lucky enough to be paired with him. You're in for a treat and an education. |
