/20/03 10:03:13 PM Yesterday at five o’clock in the afternoon we had services for my wife Velda Hearn at the First Baptist Church in Deer Park.   She died the Sunday before.  Quiet . . . laying there in a restful sleep, who did not stir when I softly spoke requesting her to rise.   Gently I moved my hand on her shoulder, “My love my dear.  Please wake.” I pulled her over where she lay on her side face down, like a heavy stone pillar she came to rest, a pool of snot now present.  I give my breath of life only after applying pressure to her chest five times as time froze.  My wife was a faithful loving companion for eighteen years.  “You would not want her back if you could see the place she is at now.” Pastor Danny announced; earlier expressed he was honored to help opening the church when ever time was needed, even though he was on vacation; I only realize after the service, a seventy-seven-year-old man who was very ill and very blessed.   As I look back to how beautiful was the time my wife and I had together I know the words he spoke are true.   A month ago the Lord lead her to him, I four months before, that very night I saw her make a silent prayer.  I use to tell myself I don’t know what to do.  Now I know I just have to think of God and all his blessings.

Sir, it seems to me that you did all of the right things, at the right time.  I am so sorry for your loss, and so pleased, in my heart, that you found her...so many of us go on in life without a soulmate...and I can see that she was indeed, yours...

Merlynh, we're here with you, for you....

You, and your lovely wife, are in my prayers...

To have had that kind of love and devotion for 18 years will fill you with so many wonderful memories.  To celebrate the life you had together, draw from that reservoir when you are thirsty.  You have my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your soulmate, and I wish you strength in piecing together a life for yourself that she definitely would have wanted you to have.  May God bless her and you, and keep you in his care.

This is the love that we all search for, even if for a brief time...You have both been so blessed.

Now, you bless her further by keeping her memory close and cherished.'

All the best to you. Sir

My heart goes out to you. Even though you know your beloved wife dances in the Light now and will always be connected through the soul with you, the physical loss is still a source of deep sorrow ... and even though you express so beautifully your gratitude for this beautiful love you share, it just hurts more, because your bond on Earth was so special.
Always know that she resides in your heart together with the Divine.
Love, Margherita

merlynh,
I can't begin to know the pain and heartache you feel. Or how you find the comfort that helps you survive. But I know that God cares for you both and pray the he gives you strength, courage and peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I am truly touched by your replies.  You are all most assuredly tender and loving souls linked to kindness and charity to one in need.  Without the Lord's love to fill the whole in me this loss would be beyond my strength to overcome. People such as yourselves are the light of the love of God.

Bless you all for your kind words.

Merlyn

I am so sorry.  I know that no words of mine will help the pain but it does help to know that others are thinking of you.  I lost my own love after 21 years of marriage, just as suddenly.  That was a long time ago, but the memories have stayed to pull me through.  All my love and prayers.  Joyce
