ok. . . what's changed about this place that you like?

and, conversely, what's changed about this place that you don't like??

discuss. . .

Sanctuary?  or Piptalk?

Hmm... Sanctuary, I like the more traffic it's getting from some really notable poets.  It's nice to see it being put to use.  Also like the re-establishment of the Duet Club.

Piptalk, I miss Teen Poetry #3 and #4.  Both were awesome experiences for me... leaves me wondering where people like Dopey Dope, Lakewalker, Jeremy D Raul, Fading Away, have all gone...

Ditto that one.

I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant.

I think I'd have to say I miss the intimacy of the smaller site. I think it is great that the site has become so popular but having so much traffic in open, poets get lost so much faster now. It was easy to get to know so many poets and now I feel lost in the vastness of open. I think this area was a wonderful idea so that we can begin building that intimate knowledge of fewer poets.

I agree with Marilyn. It is frustrating to have Open rooms roll so fast that you can't keep up. As much as I want to read something from each poet here it just is not possible so I choose to stay in adult or sanctuary more often than not where there is still a feeling of intimacy and I am able to read each post without falling behind. If I was retired and/or had no kids to deal with then maybe I could spend the time needed to keep up in the open rooms.

I also very much like the discussion forums that have been added where we can get to know each others thoughts on many different topics.

Kudos to Ron and all the senior staffers that have provided a site full of growth and diversity.

well, in the past, other forums such as Critical Analysis, the Corner Pub and Dark were slower in nature but still had their own audiences...Activity was brisk then...

these days, CA and Dark are awfully quiet and only a few loyal members still hang around at the Corner Pub...though admittedly, I'm one member who have switched from the Pub to Open, instead of staying around and try to boost things up

Prose is pretty slow as well. I have to admit that I am disheartened to see posts slip from prose without a single response. I will have to see what I can do about that situation. I am not sure if people have favorite prose writters that they read and the rest are disreguarded or if they read everything and feel the writing isn't up to par? I learned much about writing in prose I hope to try and make it that way again. I will try anyway. (I am no Christopher...lol)

There are a few things I don't entirely like....until I visit other poetry sites, that is......then I'm so glad I found this one.

Haven't been here long enough to see changes, but I will be!
